We are food enthusiasts who love exploring different restaurants, and our visits to SQUASH have been absolutely delightful, especially thanks to the excellent service. We’ve been to SQUASH three times. The first time, I ordered the salmon steak, which was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. On our second visit, I tried the traditional seafood risotto, bursting with fresh ocean flavors. For our third visit, I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly satisfying. Every experience at SQUASH has been wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The chef is both professional and skilled, creating dishes that exceed expectations. The staff is attentive and understanding of every customer’s needs. Without a doubt, SQUASH is a place worth visiting! ~ 凡事靈I_am._. 4

Un établissement où mon ami Beranger y a des habitude et dont j’ai tellement entendu parlé. Je suis particulièrement ravi d’avoir pu m’y rendre et tester ces merveilles donc j’ai entendu parler. Merci aux personnels qui a été plus attentionné avec nous, les plats étaient exquis, les desserts, je préfère même pas en parler tellement qu’ils étaient parfait, merci merci merci ! ~ Karim R

Restaurante buenísimo. Todo un 10, el servicio es un 10, pero la comida lo supera. Producto de calidad a buen precio. Pedimos las ostras, los percebes, las navajas y el lenguado. Perfectamente limpio, elegante y riquísimo. Incluso la guarnición de verduras aue en muchos restaurantes no se puede ni comer aquí estaba buenísimo. Buenos vinos. J’ai eu la chance d’atterrir par hasard dans ce restaurant pour le réveillon de Noël ! Quelle joie ! Personnel tellement gentil et bienveillant. Cet endroit est rempli d’amour, la cuisine est excellente, fraîche,… les desserts sont fait maison, la tarte banoffee est à goûter absolument !! 😍 Merci à l’équipe pour les sourires, pour leur amour de la restauration qui se ressent sincèrement ~ Cécilia T

We loved this restaurant and it lived up to its reviews on here, so much that we booked to come back the next evening. The restaurant itself is hidden away off the main strip, which we really loved: it felt authentic and we were really looked after. We had been to the Michelin star restaurant the evening before, which we were disappointed by, and couldn’t believe how much better it seemed here for many reasons. The service was fantastic, we were served quickly and there was a female waitress who was brilliant with our daughter. The food itself was lovely: it felt fresh and was the most Portuguese style food we’d had on the trip - we’d been waiting to find a good restaurant for seafood! We really recommend here and thank the staff for a lovely evening at their restaurant! ~ Daisy M

Das Squash ist wirklich ein versteckter Gourmet-Geheimtipp in Portimao! Wir waren nur 8 Tage an der Algarve und waren so begeistert von der Qualität und Geschmack des Essens, dass wir gleich an zwei Abenden dort essen gegangen sind! Geheimtipp: das Filet-Steak auf heißem Stein! Und die Nachspeisen sind leider auch genial-lecker! Vielen Dank für zwei unvergessenen Restaurant-Abende an der Algarve! ~ Florian B

The service was impeccable. All waiters were very friendly, attentive and professional. We went primarily for the Cataplana, a seafood dish native to the Algarve. It was very close to our hotel; just a side street off of the main strip. It felt like a very authentic Portuguese restaurant. The timing was a little off as they brought all of our food and drinks out at the same time, but that was likely an error on our part as we put in our full order at the same time (a common thing to do in North America). The pricing was also extremely reasonable, especially considering the caliber of service, quality and flavour of food. Overall, I would rate this experience a 10/10, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in Portimao! ~ samantha

Dieses Restaurant ist mit Abstand das beste was wir innerhalb einer Woche gefunden haben. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Für jeden Gang/Getränke war eine andere Kellner zuständig, was alles sehr reibungslos gemacht hat. Man hat sich richtig verwöhnt gefühlt. Das Essen war vorzüglich. Ebenso der Wein und der Nachtisch waren super lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert. ~ Mel E

Squash Restaurant is a must visit when dining in Portimão. This family owned restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. You feel as though you are family the moment you walk through the door and smell the fresh aromatics of a fine dining restaurant. From ocean to plate, the seafood is the star of this restaurant. From freshly shucked oysters to sweet king prawns, you can really do no wrong when ordering here. There is a selection of steaks for those who aren’t into seafood but you would have to be a little mad not to dabble in the seafood. We have been here in the area for a week and our only regret is not finding this place sooner. Maravilloso. Atención muy cuidada. Buen producto. Pescados y mariscos muy recomendables. La cocina está a la vista. Un poco escondido de la playa quizá por eso es mucho mejor que los chiringuitos de playa. Precios muy razonables, más barato que los de primera línea de playa y con calidades muy superiores. Está apartado del paseo marítimo de Portimao, por lo que es un sitio tranquilo, bien ambientado, con una excelente atención por parte del personal. Los platos que pedimos para la cena estaban todos muy buenos (tartar de atún, mejillones a la marinera, gambas cocidas y navajas). El vino de la zona de Porto (albariño ) estaba delicioso. Los postres caseros también muy buenos. La relación calidad precio correcta. ~ Benito G

He ido a cenar en mi último día en Portugal con mi pareja y mi bebé, hemos estado tranquilos a gusto relajados hemos comido bien, rico, a tiempo, nos han atendido fenomenal todo el tiempo pendiente a nosotros y siempre con una sonrisa. I went there last night with my family and we've booked a table for 9 pm. Everything was ok and in the beginning, the service was not that good as expected, but then 2 Brazilians waiters took over the table and thank you guys because you save the night! The food was amazing and the Cataplana was brilliant. The cheesecake I have to confess that it was one of the best I've ever tried. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very cozy and I strongly recommend to book before going there, otherwise, you might not have a table available. The only con the restaurant has is that the food takes ages to serve but this, according to one of the waiters is because everything is fresh and made at the time you order, I guess it is fair enough. All the family was happy and we spent a good night there and we are going to come back! :) ~ Claudia B

Belle adresse hors des sentiers touristiques de l'avenue des plages. Beautiful place! Un accueil o top de l'équipe, une attention du client de tous les instants. Tout est fait pour que vous passiez un bon moment dans l'assiette comme dans le cadre. N'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter pour en profiter. Une très bonne adresse a vivre! After spending a couple of weeks in Portugal and vowing to never eat Cod again I went to Squash. The Service was top notch, the house red solid and I ordered the Squash Cod thinking it would be the last time. It was served coated with bread crumbs over mashed potatoes with caramelized onions with a side of Cauliflower, broccoli and carrots in a garlic oil. The cod and potatoes were delicious and though I usually despise broccoli and cauliflower, nothing was left at the end of my dinner. The servers work as a team so I was never lacking for attention and the meal came in under 33 euros with 2 glasses of wine. I might be going back tomorrow night, Outstanding! ~ Pat H

Sin duda de lo mejor en restauración de Portimao. Gran calidad del pescado que comimos, en especial el pulpo era espectacular y traía una gran cantidad, para el precio que tenía. El único pero que le pondría es que el tiempo de espera fue algo elevado para la gente que había, pero por lo demás todo genial. Precio competitivo para la calidad de la comida. Repetiré sin duda si vuelvo por la zona. ~ Javier B

Dit is werkelijk een fantastisch restaurant. We zijn hier tweemaal in een week geweest, en dat zegt wel iets. De ambiance is uitermate aangenaam, de bediening is heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam , maar bovenal is het eten echt super. Voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht, nagerecht, alles is heerlijk en met verse ingrediënten gemaakt. En dat heerlijke glaasje port dat aan het einde wordt aangeboden maakt het helemaal af. Due to the pandemic, we wanted to contribute to the local economy durinh our holiday, so we decided to go out for dinner. We chose this restaurant because it was close to our apartment. Me, my wife and our two kids felt very safe the whole time. The safety measure are quite good including the use of masks by the kitchen staff. It has a cosy environment. The manager and all the staff were very kind, friendly and attentive. One of my kids didn't like the burguer, they made him some nuggets and didn't charge us for that. We had a great seafood rice for main course and a lovely cheesecake for dessert. We had a very good experience so we highly recommed this restaurant. ~ Roberto C

Maravillosa experiencia. Al llegar te enseñan una bandeja con todo el pescado fresco que tienen para que elijas si quieres alguno. Pedimos ostras, almejas, lubina y tiramisú y todo increíblemente rico y casero. Precio bueno-normal y buena cantidad. Servicio de los camaremos maravilloso. Para repetir al 100%. ~ María O

Gisteren daar gegeten...heerlijke plek buiten, maar ook binnen zag het er piekfijn uit. Bediening en manager/eigenaar super vriendelijk en waren zeer alert en gul in extra groente en een heerlijk glaasje Port na afloop. Het eten was zalig (zeebaars)....we hebben genoten. We komen hier zeker nog terug voor het vlees. :) ~ Anja V

Je recommande vivement ! Restaurant au top. Le service et les serveurs sont impeccables. La nourriture y est juste parfaite et copieuse pour ce qui s'apparente à un restaurant assez chic voir semi gastro. Musique d'ambiance très cool et cosi. Les serveurs et le gérant parlent très bien anglais et un peu le français (vous pouvez tout commander en parlant français et ça c'est top) c'est pour moi le meilleur restaurant de Portimao. ~ Dylan

Yesterday we had dinner at restaurant Squash. We were actually surprised to see that this place had some negative reviews, because for us it was truly an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, and it didn’t take long at all, contrary to what some reviews mentioned. The staff worked hard and were very friendly. It was also a nice touch that they showed us the catch of the day and the available aperitifs. We chose the fresh oysters and the tuna tartare to start, and then enjoyed the cataplana with assorted seafood. It was absolutely delicious! The terrace looked romantic, and you don’t notice the hustle and bustle of the busy boulevard. Definitely a place we would recommend. ~ Daantje D

Restaurant accessible par deux rues différentes. Le service était parfait, le repas excellent! Entre la brochette de lotte, le bœuf à la portugaise ou la panna cotta fait maison (aux arômes subtiles) je ne sais pas quel plat était le meilleur... vraiment délicieux!
